Pandemonium broke out on Tuesday at Lekki- Toll gate one of the venues of #EndSARS protest when armed security personnel stormed the venue of the protest and open fire at them in an attempt to disperse the protesters.
The incident came hours after the Lagos State Government declared a 24-hour curfew as part of efforts to stop the violence which had broken out in some parts of the state by criminal elements who have been hijacking the protests.
Although the curfew was to commence at 4:00 pm, many were still seen protesting across the state.

At the Lekki Toll Gate which has been one of the major converging points of the protests, peaceful and unarmed protesters were still seen gathered in large numbers around 5:00 pm, an hour after the curfew was to have started.
It was gathered that the lights around the toll plaza went off before the security agents stormed the venue, shooting sporadically at the protesters.p
The shooting led to the dispersal of the protesters, who had remained at the Plaza, hours after the curfew went into force.
Many Nigerians have berated government for the incident, describing it as unacceptable.
Video that surfaced online shows people running and gunshot could be heard in the background.
