Nigeria on Friday recorded 188 new cases of the novel coronavirus, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The new cases were reported in 18 States and the federal Capital Territory.
Lagos has the highest number of new cases with 47 new Infections followed by Enugu with 25 new cases.

Other States with new Infections are: Plateau (21), FCT (14), Abia (11), Delta (10), Bauchi (8), Ondo (8), Kaduna (8), Ogun (6), Imo (5), Benue (4), Katsina (4), Taraba (4), Edo (3), Kwara (3), Oyo (3), Rivers (2), and Yobe (2).
Till date, the country has confirmed 56,017 cases of the virus; 43,998 cases have however been discharged.
One new death was recorded on Friday bring the death toll to 1,076
