”The assessment committee which will tour the three senatorial districts of the state is expected to assess where the party stands at the moment and what next is needed to achieve result ahead of the 2023 general elections and return the glory of the party

” Please, we should put away sentiments and work together for the interest of the party and the state “, he added.

The state chairman further urged members to be an example to the younger generation seeking to enter politics.

Responding on behalf of the assement committee members, chairman of the committee, and former Minister for women and social development Aisha Alhassan, assured that the committee will deliver by bringing every party member back to the folds.

She commended the state chairman of the PDP for the giant step taken insisting that they are convinced with the level of unity displayed so far.

A member of the committee and a stakeholder Mary Manzo told newsmen that they will not disappoint the party

”These are a group of people that have so committed to the affairs of the party and I believe strongly that the choice of the people we have seen as leaders to run the affairs of this great party will not disappoint ”

” They are hardworking people and dedicated to the service and I believe that with them PDP is a moving train that cannot be stopped in this state ”

The assessment committee has one week to submit their reports and make recommendations where necessary.

The Peoples Democratic party has been the ruling party in Taraba state since its creation on 27th August 1991.
