The Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Funminiyi Afuye has mourned the death of a former member of the 3rd Assembly, Hon Michael Ayodele who passed on on June 23, 2020
The speaker in statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Akogun Tai Oguntayo, described the late legislator as a great friend, brother and Colleague who was peace-loving and loved by all. He was a bridge builder.
Afuye who stated that a condolence registered has been opened for late Ayodele Michael, described death as the “supreme price that everyone must pay.”
Hon Ayodele who served in the third Ekiti House of Assembly, later served as a Commissioner for Commerce in Ekiti State government.
The Speaker told the family of the late lawmaker to look up to God at this trying time, saying “it is not how long but how well. Honourable Ayodele lived a fulfilled life because he served God and humanity during his life time. Nothing can be greater than that.”.
While praying to God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss, Afuye assured the family that the late legislator would be accorded his full funeral rites as a former lawmaker in the State
