Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has ordered the immediate dissolution of the State Taskforce on Illegal Street Trading, Motor Park’s and Markets, while it’s coordinator, Bright Amaewhiule, was sacked
The dissolution of the taskforce was contained in a Statement issued by the State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Paulinus Nsirimo on Tuesday.
The Governor ordered members of the Taskforce to return the operational vehicles and Identity Cards to the Office of the Secretary to State Government not later than 4p.m on Wednesday, August 12, 2020.
He said the disengaged personnels will be paid their salaries as they return the vehicles and Identity Cards.

Wike added that the state government will reconstitute the task force after proper orientation and training.
It was gathered that the taskforce was dissolved due to an accident caused involving a pregnant woman while pursuing a commercial bus in Port Harcourt.
