The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has confirmed the expulsion of Hon. Leke Abejide from the party after endorsing a decision earlier taken by its Kogi State Executive Committee.

The party’s National Working Committee (NWC) announced the ratification on Thursday after its meeting at the ADC National Headquarters in Abuja.

This is contained in a statement signed by the ADC National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi.

The leadership said Abejide was removed for what it described as repeated acts of indiscipline.

According to the NWC, the ADC is focused on strengthening internal order and will not allow behaviour that undermines its values.

The committee said it is committed to building a party guided by “discipline, character, and integrity.”

The party also issued fresh directives to its structures in Kogi State. The NWC instructed the state leadership to immediately begin filling all vacant positions at the ward, local government, and state levels.

It said this should be done strictly in line with earlier approved transition guidelines, ahead of forthcoming congresses whose dates will be released soon.
