AEDC Announces Power Outage in Parts of Abuja

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, AEDC, has informed residents in parts of Gwarinpa, Dawaki, News Engineering, France Engineering, Charley Boy, and surrounding communities of a scheduled power interruption.

According to the company’s statement on Friday, the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) will carry out a maintenance exercise on the 60MVA Transformer TR1 at the Katampe Transmission Substation on Saturday, 21st February 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

AEDC emphasized that the maintenance work is part of ongoing efforts to enhance service reliability and improve power supply to the affected communities.
