The governor’s decision which was made known in a statement issued by the state Commissioner for information, Donald Ojogo, was said to have stemmed from a facebook post on the page of the former SA.
Pelemo, in a birthday message on his Facebook account to the wife of the deputy governor of the state, Mrs. Ajewole Ajayi, allegedly referred to her as “Acting First Lady.”

The post according to sources was said to have caused a disaffection within the state government.

According to the statement issued by Ojogo on Monday, the state government claimed that his sack was an attempt to nip in the bud any devisive act and tendency that threaten the cordiality in the administration.

“This directive is with immediate effect; and it underscores the need to instil sanity and nip in the bud, divisive acts and tendencies inimical to the existing cordiality and cohesion in the administration led by the governor.

“While wishing him well in his future endeavours, Mr Governor further directs Pelemo to hand over every government property in his possession to the deputy chief of staff without further delay.” The statement read.
