The Alawe of Ilawe-Ekiti and Chairman, Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers; HRM Oba Adebanji Ajibade Alabi, Afuntade 1, have joined numerous admirers in celebrating a distinguished son of his community; Commodore Kayode Olofinmoyin; as he attained the age of seventy.
A statement signed by the monarch described the celebration as a reminder of Olofinmoyin’s immeasurable contributions to Ilawe as an indigene throughout his career in the Nigerian Navy and at retirement. He also noted that the dynamic role he played as the Chairman of his Coronation ceremony on 21st April 2012 which will never be forgotten.
“As a Naval Officer, you retired as a Commodore with a remarkable career during which you served your country as a Military Administrator for Ogun State. You equally left an enviable record through your accomplishments in peace keeping operations, especially during the Liberian Civil War”.
“Your lifestyle exemplifies discipline and service to your Community and the Nation”.
The Monarch further prayed for God’s continual guidance and many more years in sound health for the celebrant.
