Nkem Okeke, the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, has dumped the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for the ruling All Progressives Congress,APC.
Okeke welcomed into the All Progressive Congress (APC) at the presidential villa, Abuja, on Wednesday by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Okeke was led to the President by the APC Caretaker Committee Chairman and Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, and Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma.
Briefing State House Correspondents, Governor Uzodinma expressed confidence that more defectors will still be welcome to the ruling party before the Anambra governorship election.
Okeke’s defection comes less than a month to the November 6 governorship election in Anambra.
