The All Progressives Congress (APC), Presidential screening committee has cleared Jigawa State Governor and a presidential aspirant, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has been cleared to contest the Presidential Primary Elections of the party.
A statement by the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on New Media, Auwal D. Sankara (Fica) confirmed his clearance.
According to the statement, Governor Badaru was cleared by the of the party on Monday.
He said the Governor was cleared after verifying his membership status, financial status, academic credentials, and other requirements for a presidential candidate as spelled out in the constitution.
Auwal added that the “screening and clearance puts to bed speculations that Governor Badaru has stepped down for another Presidential Aspirant on the platform of the party.”
