Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has responded to fellow actress Maureen Solomon’s criticism of her Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), saying there’s nothing morally wrong with body enhancement.
In a video shared online, the actress who had undergone BBL surgery emphasised that individuals should be allowed to improve their bodies without judgment.
“There’s nothing morally wrong in enhancing any part of your body that you don’t feel comfortable with,” Uche said. “Be it your nose, your dentition, your tummy, your butt — it’s your body, and technology has made it possible to improve it.” She considers cosmetic surgery a blessing of modern science, not a moral issue.
According to Uche, showing people the proper way to get procedures done is better than encouraging unsafe practices. She believes people should be free to make choices about their bodies without being judged.
It would be recalled that the actress’s husband, Bobby Maris, had advised women to consider Body Contouring procedures like BBL or tummy tucks if financially achievable.
Maris said; “Guys quick one so if you can afford a BBL or tummy talks whatever as a lady abeg go run am do you understand? Go ahead and do it especially after having kids.” Defending his statement he said ,
“Men we like wetin we see we love beauty, we love physical attraction we get attracted to the body before we get attracted to the soul so once you look good omo na advantage oh.”
