It was a black Sunday for the people of Akure as one of it’s illustrious personalities; Mrs. Ruth Olowookere, popularly known as ‘Madam-Do-Good’ passed on.
The death of the top Akure socialite and businesswoman came to many as a rude shock.
She died at age 70. Until her death, she was the Iyaloja-General of Ondo State.
A statement by Kunle Ajibogun on behalf of the family stated:
“This is to inform the good people of Ondo State and Nigeria in general that we have lost a rare gem, the Iyaloja-General of Ondo State, Chief Mrs Ruth Olowookere aka (Madam Do Good).
“Madam Do Good, died today 26th July, 2020 (Sunday) at the age of 70yrs after a brief illness.
“However, her death is not in anyway connected with the COVID-19 pandemic”, the statement said.
