COVID-19: Nigeria Confirms 252 New Cases

Nigeria on Tuesday recorded 252 new cases of the novel coronavirus, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.

This was announced via it’s Twitter handle, according to the agency, Tuesday’s new cases push the total confirmed cases in the country to 52800.

The new cases were confirmed in 17 including the FCT.Plateau took the lead with 50 new cases followed by Enugu and Rivers with 35 and  27cases respectively.

Lagos the epicenter of the pandemic came fourth recording just 26 cases.

Other States with new Infections are:

FCT-18, Kaduna-18, Ekiti-10, Kano-10,
Taraba-9, Anambra-8, Edo-8, Oyo-8,  Delta-7, Ogun-6, Abia-5, Bayelsa-5,  Ebonyi-1, Osun-1

Additional 707 people recovered from the virus bringing the total number of discharged cases in the country to 39,964.

The agency also announced that three additional people lost their lives to the virus bringing the death toll to 1007.
