Another 289 Nigerians stranded in the United States due to coronavirus-related border closure have returned home.
An Ethiopian Airlines plane conveying the evacuees took off from New Jersey on Tuesday night and arrived at Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja on Wednesday afternoon.
The Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission,Abike Dabiri-Erewa who announced this in a tweet said the flight arrived with 135 males,142females and 12 infants.
She noted that all evacuees tested negative before boarding and will go into 14 days compulsory Isolation as directed by the commission.

The commission said arrangements for additional two evacuation flights are being concluded from the USA to Lagos on 31st July from Houston Texas and a combined flight to Abuja and Lagos on 7th August 2020 from Newark.
The evacuation is the fourth and it brings to 1,095 ,the total number of stranded Nigerians so far repatriated by the Federal Government from the US.
