Local health authorities in Tunisia and Bahrain confirmed additional fatalities due to the coronavirus pandemic on Sunday.
The Tunisian Health Ministry said 16 deaths and 786 infections were registered, taking the country’s nationwide tally to 15,178 cases, including 207 deaths.
In Bahrain, the Health Ministry registered five deaths, 585 fresh virus cases and 777 recoveries.

The Gulf country’s count surged to 68,775 confirmed cases, including 241 deaths, and 62,252 recoveries.
Across the world, COVID-19 has claimed nearly 994,000 lives in 188 countries and regions since December.
The US, India and Brazil are currently the worst-hit countries.
More than 32.8 million cases have been reported, with nearly 22.7 million recoveries, according to figures compiled by US-based Johns Hopkins University.
