The Federal Government has listed Emirate Airlines among the other airlines that have been banned from operating in Nigeria due to COVID-19.
Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, made the announcement via Twitter on Friday and said the ban will take effect from September 21st, 2020.
The tweet read “The PTF sub-committee met today with EU Ambassadors to discuss Lufthansa, Air France/KLM ban. The meeting progressed well. Emirates Airlines’s situation was reviewed & they are consequently included in the list of those not approved, with effect from Monday the 21st September 2020.”
Air France, KLM, Etihad, RwandAir, Air Namibia, Royal Air Maroc, Lufthansa, TAAG Angola Airlines are the other airlines that were denied approval to commence flight operations in the country.
