The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC on Tuesday reported 21 COVID-19 death across the country just as it reported 1,056 new cases.
Tuesday’s cases is a sharp increase to the 643 cases reported on Monday.
According to the health agency, of the 21 deaths reported, Lagos and Osun recorded eight deaths each while Edo, Kano, Kwara, Ogun and Bayelsa reported one death each taking the death toll to 1,694.
The new cases the NCDC said were reported in 22 states with Lagos topping the chart with 214 cases followed by Osun with 120 new cases and the FCT reported 116 new cases.

Ebonyi-75, Kwara-73, Gombe-70, Ondo-57,
Rivers-47, Akwa Ibom-38, Edo-25, Oyo-23, Kano-22, Delta-19, Katsina-18, Borno-16
Nasarawa-13, Ekiti-8, Ogun-8, Bauchi-4
Benue-1 and Jigawa-1.
Till date, 141,447 cases have been confirmed with 115,755 discharged cases across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory,” NCDC said.
The agency said Tuesday’s discharges include 478 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.
