Ondo State on Sunday recorded the highest COVID19 cases in Nigeria with 90 New Cases taking the total confirmed cases in the state to 2506.
The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control NCDC gave the figure in its daily report on Sunday night.
According to the health agency, 506 new cases of the coronavirus was reported in the country on Sunday as the total confirmed cases now stands at 139,748 out of which 113,524 have been successfully treated and discharged.
Unfortunately additional 20 people lost their lives to the virus moving the death toll to 1,667.
The 506 new cases were confirmed in 20 states .
Other States the reported new cases are:
Kwara-89, Rivers-53, Borno-45, Gombe-32
FCT-28, Imo-26, Ogun-25, Lagos-22, Kaduna-14, Kano-14, Edo-13, Osun-11, Cross River-10
Yobe-9, Ekiti-7, Kebbi-6, Nasarawa-6, Oyo-5 and Jigawa-1.
According to the NCDC, Sunday’s discharges included 360 community recoveries in Lagos State, 138 in Osun State, 121 in Plateau State, 89 in Imo State and 38 in Kano State managed in line with guidelines.
