COVID19: Nigeria Confirms 555 New Cases

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday confirmed additional 555 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 40,532.

The centre announced this Sunday night via it’s official Twitter handle also confirmed two deaths increasing the number of fatalities to 858.

Data from the centre shows that Lagos which is the epicenter had the highest number with 156 cases out of the 555 followed by Kano with 65 cases.

Other States that recorded new Infections are; Ogun- 57, Plateau-54, Oyo-53, Benue-43, FCT-30, Ondo-18, Kaduna-16, Akwa Ibom-13, Gombe-13, Rivers-12, Ekiti-9, Osun-8, Cross River-3, Borno-2, Edo-2, and Bayelsa-1.

Howeversince the outbreak of the Pandemic in February,the centre said a total of 17,374 have been treated successfully and discharged.
