He made this statement during the training exercise of the first 500 recruits from the state at Saint Peter School Akure.

Adeleye noted that the Corps only operate as strike force from the head quarters in Akure as they planned to have offices across the local government areas in the state.

It was reliably gathered that the training started two weeks ago and will be on for one month.

Led by the state Commander of the corps, Chief Adetunji Adeleye and the senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security Matters, Alhaji Jimoh Dojumo, 500 newly recruits marched round Akure township in ecstasy to tackle the challenges ahead.
They moved round strategic places such as Arakale, Oba Adesida road, Oyemekun road, Ondo road, among others.

Their unusual presence in town complimented with Special dogs and over 20 hilux van recently procured by the government was also a point of attraction to many Akure residents.
The train then climaxed at a location in the state capital where the recruits are being camped for weeks of training and paramilitary drills.

The Commander, Adetunji Adeleye expressed satisfaction with their performance and comportment all through the show of force operation.
Governor Akeredolu’s aide on security, Alhaji Jimoh Dojumo also commended the leadership of the agency for successfully driving the government vision for Amotekun.
