The decomposing body of Hon. Justice Azuka, a member of the Anambra State House of Assembly who was recently declared missing, has been found.
Azuka’s body was found at the 2nd Niger Bridge by a combined security team.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the state, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, who confirmed the unfortunate incident said operatives had been deployed to the scene.
According to him, further details would be made known to the public in due time.
The lawmaker representing Onitsha I North constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly was kidnapped by gunmen on December 24, 2024.
He was reportedly abducted while returning home on Ugwunaobankpa Road in Inland Town, Onitsha.
After weeks of investigation, security operatives from Abuja apprehended the suspects late Wednesday.
The arrested individuals later led authorities to the location where they had dumped the lawmaker’s remains.
