Preparations for the burial of former President Muhammadu Buhari has commenced at his residence in Daura, Katsina State.
While dignitaries are arriving the residence of the former President, some men have been seen digging Buhari’s grave ahead of his final internment.
The site of Buhari’s final internment is a garden inside his compound in Daura.
Fatima, daughter of late former President Muhammadu Buhari, has arrived in Daura, in company of friends and relatives.
Also, former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Senator Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya have arrived at the Katsina State airport for the burial.
In the same vein, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, his counterpart from Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, and business mogul, Aliko Dangote, have arrived in Katsina for the burial
Buhari died in a London clinic on Sunday and his remains are scheduled to arrive Nigeria today (Tuesday) ahead of his burial.
The immediate past President is expected to be buried later today at his residence in Daura.
Buhari, who was a former military Head of State and democratically elected President, died in a London clinic on Sunday.
President Bola Tinubu subsequently sent Vice President Kashim Shettima to London to repatriate Buhari’s remains back to Nigeria.
The entourage and the corpse are expected to arrive any moment from now.
