The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ebonyi State, has dismissed the purported suspension of it’s leaders by a faceless individual parading as publicity Secretary.

The purported suspended leaders are the 2023 governorship candidate, Chief Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, the Deputy governorship candidate, Senator Paulinus Igwe Nwagu, Solomon Onwe, the South-east National Vice Chairman, Goodluck Chidiebere Egwu; Immediate past PDP Ebonyi State Legal Adviser, Chief Mudi Erhenede, Mr Moses Idika among others.

This was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday, by Moses ldika, Director, Media and Publicity, Anyi Ga Emeya Movement and made available to journalists in Abakaliki.

The statement said for the avoidance of doubt, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ebonyi State currently has no state working committee and therefore, cannot take any decision on behalf of the party.

Recall that a congress organised by the expelled former South-east zonal Chairman of the party was nullified and quashed by a judgement on suit no: FHC/AI/CS/183/2024 on Monday November 11, 2024.

The party noted that the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja while ruling on suit no: FHA/ FHC/ABJ/CS/2120/2025 on Friday October 31, 2025 further affirmed the nullification of the purported congress as well as the expulsion of Ali Odefa from the PDP.

“We therefore, call on the general public to ignore the purported suspension of leaders of the PDP Ebonyi State, as the faceless individual has no locus standi nor any form of standing in the PDP.

The party said the Ebonyi State chapter is currently working with the National Working Committee, NWC, of the PDP to fix an appropriate date for the congresses as ordered by the ruling of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
