Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi has directed that all Public and Private Primary and Secondary Schools in the State to resume on January 18th as against January 4th earlier scheduled.
The State Commissioner for Education, Dr Onyebuchi Chima who made the announcement in a statement said all Ebonyi State Colleges and University shall resume on Monday 4th January 2021 on condition of strict observation of NCDC Protocols on Covid19 by all staff and students.
” That all public, private and mission Nursery, Primary and Secondary Schools in Ebonyi State shall resume on Monday 18th January 2021 instead of 4th January as earlier scheduled.

” That in order to ensure the return of students to full academic activities, especially as Academic Staff Union of Universities- ASUU had called off its 9 months industrial strike on the 24th December 2020, all Ebonyi State Colleges and University shall resume on Monday 4th January 2021 on condition of strict observation of NCDC Protocols on Covid19 by all staff and students.
The Commissioner however stressed the need to take precautions against the impending second wave of Covid19 by complying to the directives of the Presidential Task Force on Covid19.
