The Northern Governors Forum has expressed worry and concern over wanton destruction of lives and properties in some parts of the country as a fallout of the #EndSARS protest.
Rising from an emergency meeting held on Thursday in Kaduna over the violence which has dominated the protests,the Governors called on the protesters to put an end to the violence.
According to the them, the Federal and various State Governments have been magnanimous by responding to their demands.

Chaired by Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, the governors during the meeting said they support the demand of the protesters for reform in the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
They, however, condemned what they described as influencers from within and outside the country in form of hooliganism, ethno-religious bigots, and political marauders who are bent on pulling the nation down to its knees.
They appealed to all citizens to restrain themselves from unwarranted disposition to sentiments, harassment, and intimidation of one another.
While sending their condolences to those who lost their lives and properties in the violence,the governors called for greater synergy between the states and the Federal Government in strengthening the unity and overall development of the country.
The forum also called on the federal government to explore the possibility of ending the ASUU strike as most of the youths are idle at home.

While restating their confidence in the unity of Nigeria, the Northern Governors extend their support to their colleagues in other states in a collective effort to restore peace and stability.
They however salute the resilience and restraint of the Northern Youths and acknowledged the leadership qualities exhibited by some Nigerian leaders in persuading and calming the nerves of the youths.
