Following the vandalisation of various private and government properties by the ENDSARS protesters nationwide, Speaker, Ekiti State House of Assembly ,Funminiyi Afuye has led other members to inspect the level of damage experienced in the state.
Afuye, accompanied by his Deputy, Hakeem Jamiu, Leader of Business, Gboyega Aribisogan and Members of the House Committee on Security, chaired by Hon. Lateef Akanle, acknowledged the right to protest but condemn the unwarranted destruction of properties.
The Speaker who inspected Police stations set ablaze, carcasses of vehicles burnt and looted offices in both Ikere and Ado, expressed dismay at the actions of the hoodlums, urged residents and the youth to sheathe their sword and allow peace to reign, while government attends to their demands in due course.

He also led the team to inspect the seed silos plant situated along Federa Poly Road, on an on-the-spot assessment to the facility to ascertaine any damage done to it.
Subsequently, the team also visited the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) in Adehun, Adebayo area of the State Capital to inspect the extensive damage done and the Textile warehouse at Awedele to symphatize with traders whose wares were looted by hoodlums who disguised as protesters.
The Speaker while appealing to those affected to exercise patience, assured them that government has set up a Judicial Commission of Enquiry to look into all aspects of the protests in the State.
