Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases have continued to rise as 481 new cases have been confirmed from 15 states bringing the total infection in the country to 42,689.
Contrary to usual the figures,the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Thursday reported the highest number of new Infections with 96 fresh cases followed by Lagos State which confirmed 89 new Infections.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) as usual confirmed this via it’s verified Twitter handle
The new data from the agency shows that the new cases were discovered from the following States; Plateau – 68; Ogun – 49; Edo – 44; Rivers – 43; Oyo – 25; Osun – 23; Delta – 15; and Enugu – 11 ,Kano – 7; Kaduna – 7; Bauchi – 2; Bayelsa – 1, and Yobe -1.
Since the outbreak, 19,270 persons infected with the virus have been successfully treated and discharged, while 878 deaths have been reported.
