The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) says it has made available for 770 infrared thermometers, 1200 surgical masks, 14,000 fabric facemask and 18000 sanitizers for use in schools .
Briefing news men in Abuja on Monday the Chairman,FCT secondary Education Board Hon Yahaya Musa Muhammad said it was in compliance with NCDC guidelines on reopening of schools.
He noted that the FCTA has also carried out fumigation of secondary schools.
While clarifying that only terminal classes of SS3 and JSS 3 would be resuming for classes in preparation for their upcoming exams,he charged school principals alongside appointed representative of FCTA in the schools to ensure adequate compliance to all health protocols.
Muhammad disclosed that the department of quality assurance in the education Secretariat would also be visiting private primary and secondary schools in the FCT to ensure full compliance.
He noted that isolation rooms have been made available in each secondary school as well as clinics
