Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on Tuesday flagged off reconstruction of Roads and Bridges by North East Development Commission NEDC which were destroyed by the Insurgents since 2014 in Adamawa.

Flagging off the project,the Governor appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari, the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management as well as the NEDC for these laudable projects.

The construction which include 26.5km Kudzum Road; 31.5km Dilchim Road; and 54.9km Wuro Ngayandi Road.

The Chairman Governing Board NEDC, General Paul Tarfa (Rtd.) commended Governor Umaru Fintiri for his infrastructural achievements in Adamawa.

The Chairman said the Commission launched her infrastructural reconstruction and rehabilitation intervention projects and also, graduation ceremony of the pioneer trainees of NEDC ICT training programme in Adamawa State.

The Commission will distributes learning materials and COVID-19 preventive items to both public and private schools.

He said the commission will also distribute Agricultural inputs to organized groups as well as security agencies in the State.

The dignitaries present at the event are representative of Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disasters Management and Social Development, and that of Barr. Babatunde Raji Fashola Minister of Works and Housing.
