The former Deputy Governor of Kwara State, Simon Sayomi is dead. He died after a brief illness at age 95.
His death was confirmed on Thursday by his son, Ola during an interview with newsmen in Ilorin.
According to him, his father died in his hometown, Igosun in Oyun Local Government Area of the State after a brief illness.

“He died on Wednesday night between 9:30 pm and 10:pm. He was born in Oct. 10, 1925.
“We will miss him because he was a hero to us in everything,” he said.
Sayomi was the deputy governor of the State from 1999 to 2003 under the administration of late Muhammed Lawal.
