The Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has vacated the Government House in Port Harcourt along with his family and security details.
This comes hours after President Tinubu announced a State of Emergency in Rivers state and suspension of the governor, his deputy and the state House of Assembly members for a period of six months following the lingering political crisis in the state.
According to reports, Fubara and his family moved out on Wednesday morning, March 19.
Meanwhile, security at the Government House remained sparse as of Wednesday afternoon while normal activities were ongoing in Port Harcourt and its environs.
