The family of the late Mrs. Bunmi Akinannu, known as ‘Omije Oju Mi’, has announced her burial arrangements.
Akinnanu died on January 12, 2026, at a hospital in Lagos. She was 46.
According to the funeral programme released on Thursday, activities will commenced on Tuesday, January 20th, with an Artist Night.
The Burial Service will take place on Wednesday, 21st, at 10am at LTV Blueroof, followed by the interment on Thursday, 22nd, at Redeemed Camp Private Cemetery, restricted to family and closest friends.
Bunmi Akinnaanu Adeoye, she started singing at age 10 in a Christian home. She studied Industrial Relations and Personnel Management at Lagos State University. She left a banking job to focus on gospel music full-time.
Her song “Omije Ojumi” gained popularity among listeners. She released other tracks like “Dabira,” “Alatileyinmi,” and “Ma-Sunkun-Mo.”
Akinnanu’s music focused on faith and ministry. Her passing marks a huge loss for the gospel community in Nigeria.
