Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have reportedly abducted a nursing mother and her baby along the Supare-Ayegunle axis of Akoko South West Local Government area of Ondo State.
It was gathered that the victims were abducted on Monday.
A source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the woman’s husband is a popular and well-known furniture maker in Akungba area.
“The husband is into furniture making and very popular in Akungba area. His wife was kidnapped alongside his baby,” the source said.
The spokesperson of the Ondo State Police Command, DSP Jimoh Kazeem, said the command was yet to confirm the incident.
“Information at my disposal is still sketchy, and I can’t confirm it yet. However, I’ll revert once there’s enough information,” he told Hopefully Newspaper.
