The Imo State Government has signed an MoU with the Natuonal Agricultural Land Develipment Authority, NALDA on the provision of Agricultural platforms and projects in the State.

Governor Hope Uzodimma while receiving the NALDA delegatuon led by the MD/ CEO, Prince Paul Ikonne said the state will continued to leverage opportunities provided by the federal government and other multinational agencies to open up and diversify the state economy.

Uzodimma commended President Muhammadu Buhari for rolling out the Agro program for the supply of food security and gainful employment for Imo youths.

The Governor speaking further disclosed that the Agro projects will help revamp all the abandoned Agro projects and allied industries through the Pilot program of NALDA.

Governor Uzodimma further gave assurances of his support to ensure the smooth completion of the projects.

He also urged NALDA to go beyond livestock and into other Agro projects as the Imo state Government has more plans to providing food security beyond Imo State and export Food products from the Imo Cargo Airport.

Speaking earlier, the CEO of NALDA, Prince Paul Ikonne, commended the Governor for having Imo State at heart by supporting NALDA projects.

“We are in the era of farming and NALDA is providing the platform. The MoU signed will empower over 4000 Imo youths and “we are just giving Imolites direction to make money” Prince Ikonne stated.
