The private hospital which has leased the hotel to be used as Covid-19 care facility has also been booked.
The fire department has confirmed that the hospital management did not procure a NOC before converting the hotel into a Covid facility.
Sources said the hotel leased by the private hospital was taking care of several VIPs, who contracted the new coronavirus.
The hotel, where the fire broke out, is near the police control room and just around 2 km away from fire station.
Sources said the hotel, used as Covid-19 care facility, kept operating without necessary permission but the officials only realised after the tragic incident.
