Kaduna state Government has presented a cheque of 100milliin naira to Borno state Governor, Babagana Zulum as donation to Maiduguri flood victims.
The deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe presented the cheque to the State Government today as she led delegation of senior government officials to Maiduguri.
The purpose of the visit was to convey heartfelt condolences and support to the victims of the recent catastrophic floods that have devastated the state.
Dr. Balarabe, representing Governor Uba Sani, delivered a message of sympathy to the government and citizens of Borno State, offering prayers for the souls of those who lost their lives and for the speedy recovery of those who were injured in the disaster.
According to her, the100 million naira is aimed at aiding the recovery and rehabilitation efforts for those affected by the floods.
In response, Governor Zulum expressed gratitude for the support extended by Kaduna State and thanked Governor Uba Sani for the swift assistance provided during this critical time.
The Kaduna State delegation include Chief of Staff Liman Sani Kila, Commissioner for Sports Development Professor Benjamin Gugon, Deputy Chief of Staff Barrister James Atung Kanyip, State Accountant Bashir Zuntu, and Private Secretary to the Deputy Governor Hafsat Aminu.
