The Kano State Government has established four new agencies aimed at strengthening institutional frameworks and accelerating sustainable development across the state.

The move followed the signing of four landmark bills into law by Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, as disclosed in a statement on Thursday by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

The newly established agencies are: Kano State Protection Agency (KASPA), Kano State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KASIAA), Kano State Information and Communication Technologies Development Agency (KASITDA) and Kano State Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (KASMEDA)

Governor Yusuf described the signing as a major milestone in his administration’s efforts to reform public institutions and drive economic growth.

“Our mission is to lay a solid foundation for a greater Kano. “These laws go beyond policy, they are key instruments of transformation that will help drive our development agenda.”

According to the governor, the new agencies are expected to enhance public protection, regulate outdoor advertising, boost ICT development, and support the growth of small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs).

He noted that the agencies will play vital roles in job creation, investment attraction, and improving service delivery across various sectors of the state.
