The All-Progressives Congress, APC has won the Katsina State Assembly Bye election that took place in Bakori LGA following the death of Late Hon Ismaila Tsiga earlier this year.
The returning officer of the election, Professor Aminu Dalha Kankia, a staff with Federal University, Dutsin-ma while declaring the result, said the candidate of the APC, Dr. Ibrahim Aminu polled 20,446 votes while his PDP counterpart, Alhaji Aminu Magaji polled 11,356 votes as well as Accord party candidate, Abdullahi Sulaiman who polled 729 votes.
The returning officer while declaring the result, said Dr. Ibrahim Aminu of the APC has won the election and was returned elected having scored the highest.
