Katsina State Governor, Umaru Dikko Radda has announced that the state government will host the Chartered Institute of Transport Administration (CIoTA) North West Conference.
This announcement comes after a courtesy visit from the institute’s President, Prince Segun Ochuko Obayendo highlighting the strong partnership between the state government and CIoTA.

CiOTA National Publicity Secretary said Governor Radda was honoured with an honorary fellowship recognizing his exceptional contributions to the transportation sector during the visit.
The statement read;
“His visionary leadership has spearheaded landmark projects, including the commissioning of the Funtua Dry Port, a cargo handling and logistics hub, and the construction of a second outer ring road, significantly enhancing connectivity and reducing travel time.
“These achievements have transformed Katsina State into a thriving regional hub for inter-modal transportation, showcasing the Governor’s commitment to infrastructure development and economic growth.
“The CIoTA North West Conference aims to bring together transportation experts, stakeholders, and policymakers to discuss practical solutions, best practices, and emerging trends in the industry. The event will showcase Katsina State’s achievements in transportation and its potential for future growth.”

The CIoTA delegation, led by the president of the Institute, Prince Segun Ochuko Obayendo, FinsTA, comprised Deputy President Hon Umar Sanda Iya FInstTA, Auditor General Aminu Muktar MInstTA, National Publicity Secretary Mrs. Chinwe Uwaegbute FinsTA, and Registrar of the institute, Mr. Rasheed Aiyelabegan, FinsTA and the North West Coordinator, Malam Haruna Musa.
