Former Kaduna lawmaker,Shehu Sani has described the attacks and the reported abduction of students of Government Science Secondary School,in Kankara, Katsina State by bandits as “another tragedy in the season of woes”.
According to him, “until these bandits are tackled and crushed,the problem will not fizzle out.”
Sani in a series of tweets on Saturday advised the state governments facing serious security challenges to temporarily change public boarding schools to day schools until the security situation improves.
He said “The tragedy of GSSS Kankara, Katsina State,Chibok Borno state and Dapchi in Yobe should be lessons for us.”
” Let’s pray for the abducted students while we call on the authorities concerned to intensify efforts to secure their release.”
