Youths in Katsina State are kicking against the dissolution of the Special Anti-robbery Squad, noting that the unit is needed to fight crime.
They are calling for the deployment of more security personnel to the state to end Banditry, Kidnapping, Cattle rustling and other related crimes bedeviling the state.
The youths are insisting that the SARS remain in the state in view of the great role they been playing towards ending the lingering security challenges in the state.
According to them, the disbandment of SARS is not a good option but tantamount to worsening the security situation by asking the Inspector General of Police to deploy all the SARS to the state.

In a peaceful rally organized in the capital to tagged “SARS Reforms”, the core convener of the rally, Adamu Kabir Matazu informed reporters before the Police Command Headquarters, Katsina that the rally was organized to show solidarity to the ongoing reforms of the special anti-robbery squad as well as the Nigerian Police Force.
He believed that with the Reform introduced by the Nigerian Police Force, police will better serve their full responsibilities as enshrined in the Nigerian constitution.

Receiving the Youths on behalf of the State Commissioner of Police, CP Sanusi Buba, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of administration, DCP Cyril Dominic David, used the moment to thank them for their orderly conduct during the rally.
He assured them of the Federal Government and the Police high command are already aware of the lingering challenges facing the Nigerian Police Force stating that drastic measures have been taken to ensure that Nigeria has a police organization that will be able to meet the needs and admirations of Nigerians.
He further assured that in no distant future, Nigeria will have a better police force well equipped and well trained to meet the challenges of the Nigerian societies.
