Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has commiserated with his Kebbi State counterpart, Atiku Bagudu over the death of his immediate younger brother, Shehu Bagudu.
Special Adviser to the Governor Bagudu on Media, Yahaya Sarki, had in a statement announced that the 55-year-old died on Tuesday evening at a private hospital in Abuja after a brief illness.
Bello, who spoke through his Chief Press Secretary, Onogwu Muhammed when he attended the Janazah prayer held at the National Mosque, Abuja for the peaceful repose of the soul of the deceased, described Shehu as a peaceful man who was committed to the service of Allah and humanity.
The governor, who described the death of the deceased as sad and shocking, prayed to God to grant Governor Atiku Bagudu as well as other members of the Bagudu family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Bello also prayed to Allah to grant the deceased Aljannah firdaus.
