The Wife of the Kwara State Governor,Dr. Mrs. Olufolake Abdulrazaq has secured a scholarship for the children of Risikat Azeez,the blue eyes woman.
The children of Risikat who are equally blue-eyed would enjoy full early foundation school scholarship at the Rhoemichs international, a private school in Ilorin.
Kwara State Commissioner for Education, Hajia Ahmed Bisola has been directed to include genealogy in the school curriculum and invite the girls from time to time to visit schools in the state so students in chosen schools can see them and ask questions.
Though due to the ages of the children boarding options were not explored.
According to the Commissioner,a team of eye expert led by Dr.(Mrs) Dupe Ademola- Popoola , a Consultant Ophthalmologist at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, visited the family and were able to assess the woman, her children and said their eyes were fine.
She noted that government will also be mother and her children glasses very soon.
Equally, an action plan has been instituted to be able to plan for her further care and support through a multi-stakeholder approach.

It would be recalled that on Saturday the 8th of August the first lady of kwara State presented financial support to for the immediate concerns of Risikat and her children.
Risikat the blue-eyed mother of two is equally billed to acquire preferred skills and get empowered to be able to sustain her family.
Risikat had made the headlines after Abdul-Wasiu Omo-Dada, her husband, sent her packing from their home in Kwara alongside her two daughters after she birthed them with blue eyes.
While narrating her ordeal to Punch,Risikat, who disclosed that she was born with the eye colour, said she had visited the hospital before her kids were born but the doctors said there was nothing wrong with her eyes.
She said her husband had accepted her before marriage but the union started to hit the rock due to consistent pressure from her man’s parents following the birth of the family’s two children.
“I was born with these eyes. I also gave birth to my children with same. I’ve never had any challenge with my eyes. I have never been to the hospital due to any discomfort,” she said.
“No one had this set of eyes before me in my family. I’m the first to have this. And when I started bearing children, they also have it and I did not regret that I have this set of eyes with my children.
