The Kwara State Government has honoured the 2018/2019 Kwara Corps Members who have received President’s NYSC Honour Award with cash award in recognition of diligence, selfless service and outstanding performance.
Presenting the cash award today at the Ministry Conference Room of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Development, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Bar. (Mrs.) Iyabo Funke Banire, said that the ceremony, which was a celebration of excellent performance during the period of the awardees’ national service, replicated the honour earlier accorded the set of Corps Members by the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, on the 11th February this year.
Banire, who is also the Chairman, Kwara State NYSC Governing Board, stated that Governor AbdulRazaq’s love for youths is visible across the State.
“AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq recognizes and values hardwork and would do everything humanly possible to motivate any youth who has distinguished him or herself in projecting the image of the State positively.”, she explained.
The Acting Director, Youth Development, Mallam Abdulsalam Akeem, described the recipients as worthy ambassadors of the State, urging them to continue with the spirit of selfless service.
He then congratulated the awardees for the honour .
A cash award of Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand (#250, 000.00) Naira was presented to each of the four Corps Members for making the State proud.
The awardees included Olabanji Damilola Rachael, Abdulazeez Sodiq Olamilekan, Abioye Yetunde and Aliyu Ibrahim.
