Lagos State Commissioner for Health,Akin Abayomi says a total of 205 people have lost their lives in COVID-19 related deaths since the outbreak of the pandemic.
The Commissioner made the disclosure on Friday via his Twitter handle while given an update on COVID19 in the state as at 8th September.
Prof. Abayomi said 33 new infections were confirmed out of the most recent 806 COVID-19 tests conducted moving the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos to 18,449.

“2,402 of the confirmed cases have since been discharged from #COVID-19 Care Centres following full recovery”, Abayomi tweeted.
According to him ,a total number of 90,476 tests have been conducted since the outbreak of the pandemic.
The 15,380 cases monitored in communities by Lagos Response Team have either fully recovered or positively responding to treatments.
He noted that 64 of the cases are currently under isolation in public and private care centres while 398 active cases in communities are yet to turn up for admission in COVID-19 care centres.
