The building was said to be under construction when it collapsed around 7:30 pm on Saturday.
It was gathered that the building, which was meant to be a six-storey building hotel, collapsed while at the fourth floor of its construction.
Many people are said to be trapped as a four-storey building collapsed along Aka Road in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on Saturday.
Eyewitnesses said a lot of people are stuck in the building.
All Critical rescue and security agencies on ground. Four persons are said to be rescued and taken to the Hospital so far.
Rescue operation is still ongoing to rescue more by emergency management workers.
According to residents leaving close to the collapsed building, the edifice was built with non-standard tools.
Large number of people have gathered at the scene of the incident discussing the matter among themselves.
