President Bola Tinubu will meet with the Organised Labour comprising the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress in Abuja on Thursday to further discussions on a new minimum wage for workers in Nigeria.
Sources within the presidency confirmed that the time for the meeting has been fixed for 4 pm.
The president of TUC, Festus Osifo also confirmed this to reporters on Wednesday.
The Thursday meeting is coming about a month after the President said in his Democracy Day speech on June 12, 2024, that an executive bill on the new national minimum wage for workers would soon be sent to the National Assembly for passage.
