The Cattle Breeders Association in Nigeria; the Miyetti Allah group has called on the Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde and the Alaafin of Oyo of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi to dethrone the embattled Seriki Fulani of Oyo State; Chief Saliu Kadiri.
Accorsing to the group, the allegations levelled against the Seriki is negatively affecting the image of the Fulani community in the State.
Recall that the deposed Seriki Fulani was recently chased out of his Igangan home by aggrieved youths led by self-acclaimed Yoruba freedom fighter; Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho.
He was alleged to have been involved in the surge of kidnapping, banditry and other heinous crimes in the area.
The group also advised the Alaafin of Oyo and the government to replace Kadiri with a tested and trusted person among the Fulani community.
However, reacting to the allegations against him, the Seriki Fulani, described the allegations as false.
He consequently asked the Oyo State Government and the Alaafin of Oyo to ignore it.
