Nigeria has recorded 462 new cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing its total infections to 43,151.
In a tweet on Friday night, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) noted that one more person has died from the virus as number of deaths recorded hit 879.
The FCT again topped the states with new Infections reporting 93 new Infections,followed by Lagos State with 78 cases.
Other States with fresh outbreak are; Plateau-64, Kaduna-54,Oyo-47, Ondo-32, Adamawa-23, Bauchi-19, Rivers-9,Ogun-9, Delta-9, Edo-7, Kano-6, Enugu-6, Nasarawa-5 and Osun-1
Also the center confirmed that a total of 19,565 have been successfully treated and discharged.
The NCDC also announced the activation of two new laboratories into its Molecular Lab Network
Two new laboratories have been activated for inclusion in the NCDC Molecular Lab Network,the Molecular Diagnostics Lab, Gombe State Specialist Hospital and the United Nations IOM Lab, FCT.
It noted that the center currently has 61labs with capacity to test COVID-19 in NCDC Lab Network.
